Research shows that parents who take a Lamaze Childbirth Education class have significanly improved health outcomes for themselves and their babies. Evidence-based childbirth education classes are one of the most under-utlized tools in the maternity care system. Are you a local business with employees of childbearing age? When your employees have healthier birth outcomes, they are able to return to work better prepared for this new life transition. Cesareans, NICU stays, and postpartum mood disorders contribute to a longer recovery. People who take Lamaze Childbirth Classes are more likely to have fewer cesareans and NICU stays, have babies who breastfeed (which has added health benefits), have improved mental health, and have had some preparation in planning for this postpartum transition.

Nearly all of our Lamaze students will have or want doula support after taking this class. Having continuous support is one of the Lamaze Six Healthy Birth Practices that we teach. We'd love to refer our students to you!

One of the earliest topics in our Lamaze class reviews options for care providers and birth locations. We spend time getting to know the difference in models of care.
